The program aims to introduce kids to the game of football\u00a0by developing ball skills and progressing\u00a0to small-sided games. The sessions are designed to be fun and provide\u00a0an environment to learn about soccer, playing in a team and\u00a0meet some new friends!<\/p>\n Duration: 8 weeks from 24th October (excluding school holidays, when the program doesn\u2019t run).<\/p>\n The program runs for 8 sessions from 4:30pm to 5:30pm at Peel Park with each participant getting a playing jersey, shorts, socks, ball, boot bag and & 2 A league tickets. sports\u00a0controlling bodies are involved in the process of deciding if training or\u00a0games are ok to go ahead\u00a0or called off due to bad weather.<\/p>\n Training<\/strong><\/p>\n Most ground are\u00a0controlled by Ryde Council and can be seen by checking their website (Click Here<\/a><\/span>) or phoning their wet weather line \u2013 (02) 9952 8244.\u00a0 They update this information twice a day during the week \u2013 9am and 2.30pm.\u00a0<\/p>\n Gladesville Reserve is controlled by Hunters Hill Council and they have a website\u00a0that shows the status of grounds. \u00a0(Click Here<\/a><\/span>)<\/p>\n Teams must not train if the grounds are closed \u2013 Ravens can be fined if reported.<\/p>\n In the event of localised or late severe weather Ravens Officials (including coaches) can close a ground for safety reasons.<\/p>\n Games<\/strong><\/p>\n This is determined by the sport associations and where the games are being played.<\/p>\n The Ryde Council uses the same service as their training service\u00a0(Click Here<\/a><\/span>)\u00a0 They will make a decision on weekend games at 3.00pm on Friday if games are to be cancelled due to bad weather. Ryde Council is the only Council that inspects fields on Saturdays to determine if they are playable for Sundays. Their decision is made around 4pm on Saturdays and they do update their website.<\/p>\n Games can still be cancelled by the NWSF if the weather is bad. They will update their website at about 8.00am Saturday morning with details about weekend play. (Click Here<\/a><\/span>)<\/p>\n In the interest of safety Ravens Officials (Ravens Directors) can cancel a game if they deem it to be dangerous.\u00a0 And lastly the referee can also cancel any game, for any reason, if they deem it unsafe to play at any time.<\/p>\n In all cases the officials decision is final and coaches, parents or players should not dispute a decision once it has been
