The Ravens would not be the club it continues to be today, without the amazing work of individuals, parents and players who volunteer their time to take up voluntary positions of coaching and managing teams. Along with the players, they continue to be the lifeblood of a community club such as the Ravens.
We strive to provide support, guidance and training opportunities for all Ravens Managers and Coaches across Men’s and Women’s Football and Netball via our extensive network of highly trained senior coaching staff. Ravens provides funding for association training courses and has many highly qualified coaches in it ranks.

The Ravens could not function without the wonderful support of the volunteer Coaches and Managers. Being a coach or a manager can be great fun and highly rewarding.
There is a lot to know when you become a coach.
Our Support Programs
Many of our coaches are current or ex Ravens players. Many are mums and dads that have kids that play. Coaching may sound daunting to people that haven’t coached before but we have a range of support systems in place to help coaches of all levels.

- We have started a mentoring program where our experienced coaches will be available to help other managers.
- We have online management tools to help make your job easier
- We are working with the local NWSF FA training director to conduct “train the trainer” sessions

We highly recommend that you spend time reviewing this information to be prepared for managing or coaching a SSG team. It explains why we play the game this way, the rules and provide a range of coaching tools for teaching the SSG.

Football NSW Hot Weather Policy
With higher temperatures now occurring more frequently, consideration must be given to the effects of heat and humidity on elite and amateur athletes and particularly children involved in football activities.
Football NSW has considered several factors in the development of this policy including the ongoing popularity of summer football and an increase in the temperatures leading into the winter season.

Please note that there is an updated version of the FNSW Lightning Policy. This reviewed and updated policy takes effect immediately and supersedes all previous FNSW Lightning policies.

- Claims Made Policy – It must be noted that the Management Liability policy is a claims made policy. This means that the policy indemnifies for claims first made against you and notified to the Insurer during the period of insurance. It is therefore extremely important that notification is given immediately to Gow-Gates Insurance Brokers Pty Limited or the Insurer as soon as you are aware of a claim or any circumstance that may lead to a claim
2020 Certificates of Currency (CoC)
Public Liability insurance is provided by FNSW for Clubs, Branches, Associations and their member Clubs, Futsal Clubs and Centres affiliated with FNSW and Referee Branches.
A certificate of currency (CoC) is a document that provides proof of public liability insurance.

- Insert the name of the Council as the “Interested Party”

Injury Claim Process

- Injury claim forms are now completed online through the claims portal on the FNSW Insurance website.
- The online claim process enables claimants to apply and upload documents and receipts online for quicker processing.

- The claimant registers and completes the claim form online.
- The Club Declaration and Physician’s Statement forms are both downloaded and printed by the claimant from the claims portal.
- The Club Declaration is completed by the club and is then saved and uploaded to the claims portal by the claimant.
- The Physician’s Statement is completed by the claimant’s Doctor or Specialist and is then saved and uploaded to the claims portal by the claimant.
- Alternatively these documents can be emailed or posted

Injury Claim Verifications

- Claim verification is required for all injury claims.
- Verification cannot occur until the Club Declaration and Physician’s Statement are uploaded or received by Gow-Gates.
- State Leagues claims are verified by Gow-Gates in consultation with FNSW.
